This is a great vintage metal globe set by Replogle Globes, Inc., a division of Meredith Corp., Chicago, Ill. The 6" metal Moon & Earth globes are mounted to a wooden base and spin on the brass rods. The globes can be removed from the base and slide back on the rod, they slide right off if you turn it over. It was probably made in the early 1970s as the moon globe has the 11/7/1969 Apollo Landing Sites! The globes are in good vintage shape, a few small rust spots here and there. The base measures 2 3/4' x 8". I have never seen this set will have trouble parting with it!!!
