This is a beautiful antique carved treen tankard! It stands 5 1/4" tall and has a beautiful carved band 2" wide around the center. The mug is in great condition and has a signature that looks quite old. There is also a paper tag stuck to the bottom with hand written numbers: No. 709 / RS 201- (these may be just a shop's record numbers). The wood looks like Walnut and the liner is metal, not sure what kind but silver in color. I'm not sure if this is English, German Black Forest or maybe American? Anyway it is a truly beautiful thing!
