This is a great vintage makeup/train case. It is covered in green cowhide printed with alligator or snakeskin pattern. It measures 13" long x 10 1/4" wide x 8" high. The leather shows wear from use at the corners and edges with a bit of damage near the left clasp, see photos and the key is missing. The red vinyl interior shows more wear, the mirror has been removed from the lid. The bottom part is in good condition, but the inside needs a good cleaning. I'd like to see the interior of this case redone. It's in good solid shape, the handle and hardware are all in good working condition except for one clasp spring, it still works, just doesn't spring open. There are no makers marks, but it is in the shape and style of cases by Hamilton Luggage of NY. There is a little cloth tag inside reading: THIS ARTICLE IS COVERED WITH / Split Cowhide / LEATHER. This is a really great looking little case!
