This is a great old wooden box which once contained Mead's Corrective Diets For Infants File Index. The box measures 5 1/2" x 2" x 3 7/8" tall and has nice vintage patina with beautifully joined corners. There is the original label inside the lid reading: MEAD'S / FILE INDEX / OF / CORRECTIVE DIETS FOR INFANTS / Copyright 1921 / MEAD'S INFANT DIET MATERIALS / MEAD JOHNSON & CO., EVANSVILLE, IND. The hinges are in good working condition and there is no damage, just some red stains on the inside. A lovely little box with original advertising label.
